About Lacey Jay's Family

I come from an amazing family. I am the baby of five. I have three sisters and an older brother. My brother and oldest sister are twins. We were raised by a single mom, who just happens to be incredible. It wasn’t easy but she sacrificed her world to provide us one. She is my rock and my hero. She taught me more about life, strength, sacrifice and love just by example than I could have learned any where else. We were raised in a home that was surrounded by lots of land, a creek, a barn and trees. We had so much fun growing up. We didn't have a lot so we learned to make the most out of each other and activities like camping, hiking and road trips. Having been raised by a single mom we had the blessing of becoming really close to our aunts and my mom’s best friend from college who became like a second mom.  It made me who I am and I love those I had around me. My mom and sisters are my very, very best friends. My big brother has always been my protector. We were raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The ward family was very influential in our lives. We were always having fun whether it was playing kick the can while camping, riding motorcycles at Cherry Creek Desert, having sleep-overs all in one room on Christmas Eve or conquering some hike our mom got us into. We were taught the value of hard work. My mom had a house, a family and a huge orchard to keep going by her self so she taught us how to pitch in and be a team. She taught us how to love and be strong in the face of any challenge. I love my family. I get teary eyed just thinking about them. I'm so blessed to have every single one of them. We are all now married with our own families, and as Seth and I struggled to start ours for years, our families were our number one support. They shared their children in a way we will never be able to thank them. Our nieces and nephews mean the world to us and that didn't stop when we were blessed with our boys! They still hold a very dear place in our hearts. They come to our house for sleep-overs and play dates with the boys all the time. I am a better person because of the family I am surrounded by.
