We have been blessed to have an open adoption with Mason's birth families. We were able to get to know Melissa during the pregnancy and forunately that relationship has just deepened since Mason arrived. We send pictures, visit and share in the joys of the new things Mason learns. Melissa is our Angel. We love her. Although she leads her own amazing life, she will always be apart of our family. We are also very blessed to know and love Mason's birth father's family. They are a joy to him and us both. The truth is Mason life didn't start the day we adopted him, like us he has history that extends way back and we believe he'll be a better person for knowing and loving the important pieces that made him who he is.
We are so grateful for Mason in our lives. He truly makes being parents the greatest thing in the world. We are grateful for a loving Heavenly Father and Mason's angel mom who entrusted us to be guardians over such an amazing spirit. We are beyond grateful and our feeling of being in debt to loving birth families extends eternally. They are what it is to love a child unconditionally. He is LOVED by many. He will be such a great big brother! We can't wait!
We were blessed to be at the hospital when Mason was born, however she had a last minute C-section so we waited out in the waiting room. Melissa father brought us a video of Mason right after he was born so we could see him!
